The 4 provinces that together make up Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland & Labrador) are united in their beauty, coastal environment and land- and sea-based industries, but they also celebrate their diversity: different languages, ethnic origins and histories; distinct labor markets and local economies. Atlantic Canada's career colleges reflect and contribute to the strength that comes from this diversity. Located from small rural towns to bustling urban centres, career colleges provide a wide range of job and career training opportunities and shouldn't be overlooked when it comes to student school searches. Because they are privately owned, career colleges can quickly respond to the changing needs of local and regional business and industry. Career colleges therefore have much to offer that the larger institutions can't provide, and so they have a unique and specialized role within Atlantic Canada's post-secondary education system and should be part of any student's school considerations.
As part of our mission to help promote career colleges in Atlantic Canada, CampusStarter.com has partnered with The Private College Association of Nova Scotia (PCANS) to provide a complete list of all PCANS members and other career colleges in Nova Scotia. PCANS is a provincial association representing the interests of career colleges in Nova Scotia. Its members encompass a wide variety of institutions and programs that provide quality training for future professionals.
